The Breadspace is about bringing people together to explore new and tasty ideas. Its name is a play on “headspace”, since my (the founder's) thoughts are only ever full of bread. I actually never meant to make this a business - it happened serendipitously when I walked into a cafe, asked some questions about their pastry case, and they offered to let me pop up after tasting my bread. The Breadspace is a reflection of the whimsy that led to its inception. Like the storyline of a dream, the bread is familiar, but nothing quite like your lived experiences. Scallion cheese with cranberries? Almond croissant as a pineapple bun salt bread? The Breadspace contains new breads that have never been seen before, much like the aliens in outer space. We want you to leave The Breadspace believing that anything is possible! I'm still figuring out the full set of things that we'll offer. But I know that we are always put out quirky, inventive, and high-quality stuff. The Breadspace aims to put people on new flavors and flavor combos, teach people about baking, and most importantly, create a place to connect with others. Getting to know everyone through my baking has been the most fulfilling part of my journey, and I want you to experience the same, so I'm piloting ideas like "community yap sessions" that will help my astronauts get to know each other thru subjects they are passionate about. I hope to offer a niche that will create a warm third space for all. Making new creations all the time is hard, and The Breadspace would not be possible without my friends and family who have helped me every step of the way: from art to marketing to photography.
